Workshops and Trainings

The Center offers workshops, trainings and consultations designed to build skills, deepen understanding and support communities at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý. Sessions are facilitated by trained peer educators and professional staff and can be requested by students, departments and campus partners.Ìý

Undergraduate Student Workshops

Undergraduate student workshops are paused for fall 2026 and will return in spring 2027. Beginning in spring 2027, most workshops will be offered as 50‑ or 90‑minute sessions.


The Peers Educating and Empowering Peers (PEEPs) team offers seven interactive workshops for ÐÔÊӽ紫ý undergraduate students. Each workshop focuses on reflection, dialogue and practical strategies students can apply in their everyday lives. With 6–8 weeks’ notice, the Education & Social Change team can also customize a workshop to better fit your needs.Ìý

:Workshops can be requested by undergraduate student groups, classes, residence halls and campus organizations. Requests are subject to facilitator availability and scheduling timelines, and must be submitted at least four weeks in advance.

Develop strategies for navigating crucial conversations by examining how bias and language choices shape communication and understanding.Ìý

Explore how bias and microaggressions show up in daily life and learn strategies for interrupting and addressing them.Ìý

ÌýÌýDismantling Oppression for Collective Liberation

Examine oppressive systems and begin the work of unlearning them to build a more just and liberatory understanding of community.Ìý

Explore the differences between performative and authentic allyship and practice strategies centered in collective liberation.Ìý

Build skills for community building through the exploration of social identities, compassion and restorative justice.Ìý

LGBTQ+ Allyship in Higher Education (formerly Safe Zone)

LGBTQ+ Allyship at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý is hosted by the Pride team within The Center. This interactive training focuses on the experiences of LGBTQ+ students in higher education, how to create supportive environments and how to be a better ally.Ìý

Participants will:Ìý

  • Learn about LGBTQ+ students’ experiences on campusÌý
  • Explore ways to improve inclusion and belongingÌý
  • Engage in open, supportive dialogue and reflectionÌý

UndocuAlly TrainingÌý

UndocuAlly is a training for ÐÔÊӽ紫ý faculty, staff and graduate students in teaching or administrative roles who want to learn how to better support undocumented students.Ìý

The training provides space to build understanding, learn supportive practices and explore ways to create more inclusive and affirming environments for undocumented students.Ìý

This is a two-hour training and participants must attend the full session. Registrants will receive an email the day before the training confirming whether the session will run and including the Zoom link.Ìý

Consultations may include:Ìý

  • Reviewing handbooks, forms and commonly used documents for inclusive languageÌý
  • Examining everyday practices such as emailing, meetings and social interactionsÌý
  • Identifying inclusive resources within and beyond your departmentÌý
  • Addressing specific challenges or concerns related to LGBTQ+ inclusionÌý
