Encuentros

Our Encuentros series creates friendly, open spaces where students can talk, reflect and celebrate everything that makes our Latindad identity special using a pláticas (conversations) framework. These events are more than regular talks—they’re charlas (talks) where we share stories, explore important topics and lift each other up, no matter where we come from.

We’ve had some amazing encuentros in the past, including:

  • Los Sies de Boulder,” which focused on Chicano student activism at ĐÔĘӽ紫ý in collaboration with the United Mexican American Students and Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan (UMAS y MECHA).
  • “Chingonas de ĐÔĘӽ紫ý,” celebrating Latinas making a difference on campus
  • “Mental Health in Latino Men,” a brave conversation about breaking down stigma and supporting men’s well-being
  • “Afrolatinidad,” where we learned about Afro-LatinĂ© histories and contributionsĚý

Whether you want to listen, talk or just connect with others, you’re welcome at our Encuentro Series. We honor our past, celebrate who we are now and dream together about the future we’re building. Come as you are—we can’t wait to meet you!Ěý
