Low-cost legal services

Student Legal Services (SLS) is a law office dedicated exclusively to serving the legal needs of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý students, sponsored by the CU Student Government. Their mission is to help students resolve or minimize their legal situations so they can focus on school. SLS has attorneys on staff who can help students make sense of their legal situations, explain their options and help them prevent their legal issues from becoming overwhelming.

Free lease reviews

Off-Campus Life has a staff attorney who provides free lease reviews and legal advice on rental issues for currently enrolled fee-paying CU students.

Name and gender marker changes in Colorado

Legal name change involves officially changing your name on state and federal identification through a court system. In Colorado, the cost to change your name is roughly $300. The Pride team at The Center offers a Name Change Program that provides mentorship and a $300 payment for participating. After completing your name change, you’ll mentor other student/s for the coming year. Learn more about .

Undocumented legal resources

The Immigration Clinic at Colorado Law School provides legal support for non-citizen clients. Students and staff who need legal assistance, including our undocumented community, may consult with bilingual law students in English, Spanish and French at the clinic.

Students who need help being able to cover the $495 DACA Renewal Fee can get support from the CU Student Relief Fund.Ìý
