I grew up in the Midwest with a musical family, so I studied Vocal and General Music Education in college. Over fifteen years of teaching high school students, I recognized my love of listening to them talk about who they wanted to be and what they wanted to accomplish in life. I moved to Colorado in 2019 to work as an Academic Advisor at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and discovered a NEW passion - academic coaching! ÌýI am a certified life coach by the International Coaching Federation and a certified academic life coach by Coach Training EDU. The message that I aim to model and deliver to all students is that life is not linear. The most important practices are to remain curious, show yourself compassion, and allow yourself to change your mind! I am very passionate about supporting campus-wide efforts towards equity and inclusion. I facilitate ACCESS for Engineers, a program that supports students who suspect or are diagnosed with ADHD. I stand with undocumented students, staff, and their families. I also acknowledge that ÐÔÊӽ紫ý sits upon land within the territories of the Ute, Cheyenne, and Arapaho peoples. In my free time, I love to sing, cuddle with my rescue pups, practice Spanish, read nonfiction books, and watch thriller movies!
