Sasha de Koninck is a PhD candidate in Intermedia Art, Writing and Performance in the College of Media, Communication and Information. She received aÌýbachelor’s degree in fiber in 2013 from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her master’s degree in fiber and material studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015. After graduating, she spent three years teaching conceptual clothing and sculpture to middle and high school students in Santa Monica, California. Advised by Laura Devendorf, Sasha researches smart textile material for the body that is intimate, sensitive and loud. Ìý
